Horsham, PA - October, 2010 - Several professional staff at Wouch, Maloney & Co., LLP attended industry relevant continuing education classes this month. Accountants attend courses on a regular basis to learn new accounting rules and regulations to provide the most current information and services to their clients.

"The information obtained at classes such as these is beneficial on all levels - to the accountant, to the firm, and, of course, to our clients."
Larry Lance, CPA, attended Advanced Critical Tax Issues for Limited Liability Companies and Partnerships, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). The course examined significant issues facing these companies, including debt, distributions and mergers and acquisitions. Lance is a manager at the firm.
Adam Greene, CPA and Bob Williams, CPA, both technical managers at the firm, attended the Annual FASB and AICPA Update sponsored by Loscalzo Associates Ltd. The course examined recent updates to accounting standards, focusing on those that affect small and medium sized businesses.
Hal Margolit, CPA, and Michael Stuhltrager, CPA, attended How to Identify, Explain, and Present Pertinent Financial Information to Non-Accountants, also sponsored by the PICPA. The attendees learned ways to help non-accountants understand and interpret financial statements and accounting reports. At the firm, Stuhltrager is a manager and Margolit is a manager specializing in tax.
Adrienne Roussey, CPA and Michele Klach, CPA, attended the PICPA’s Guide to Compilation, Review, and the Cash and Tax Basis of Accounting. This course provided an overview of the standards, interpretations, and practice problems encountered in compilation and review today. Roussey and Klach are senior accountants at the firm.
